This is my first post here on my self hosted site. I'm currently doing this as a test to see how well this handles working as a blog. My suspicion is that it will do well and if so I'll migrate some of my recent articles from Wordpress.com to see how that goes and to provide a bit of overlap.
The reason I'm wanting to move away from Wordpress.com are two fold. Firstly, the do not meet the goals of the AsciiRibbonPlus campaign as well as this site does. Secondly, they have recently started to monetize their site by placing advertising all over my blog. I do not want people feeling that I support, recommend, or endorse the things advertised.
